Our company name is PnC Shop where P refers to Pet, n is (And) abbreviated, while C refers to Care. This business is a partnership business of six members. Each member contributes RM10,000 to raise funds to start a business. So, the initial capital is RM60,000.

The Interview

On 25 and 26 January 2019, we have make an interview with two pet shop and one veterinary clinic operating in Bintulu, which is Pets Avenue, J & J Pet Lovers and Alliance Veterinary Clinic.

The purpose of our interview is to find out more about the pet care market in Bintulu and get more information about the business we will run in the next three years ie pet-related businesses.

In addition, they also sell animal accessories and their main products are animal feed and grooming equipment.

Alliance Veterinary Clinic offers treatments for animals but mostly cats, dogs and rabbits. They also offer services like vaccines, surgery and animal feed and pet adoption services.

In conclusion, most customers in Bintulu are from the Malays, Chinese, and Iban. As a result of interviews with several traders in Bintulu, we are able to find out customer behavior when buying a product. Like the purchase of some kind of animal food, according to the owners of individual animals to choose and also according to the taste of the cat themselves to buy this animal feed because cats do not always change the type of food while the dog always exchange food. This is because there are some animal owners who want the best for their pets.

In addition, we also know the types of cats and dogs and know how to care for animals such as frequent animals subjected to vaccines for the prevention of animal diseases and avoiding animals from being exposed to the virus. In fact, we can also find out the statistics of pet shops operating in Malaysia where there are 50 more fruits including Sabah and Sarawak while in Bintulu there are less than 10 pet shops operating.

During our previous meetings, we have reached agreement on the corporate structure of our company. Pet and Care Shop (PnC Shop) from Group 7 wants to introduce our company's corporate structure. We take steps to maintain this business by reducing operating costs where the duties of director, financial and human resources manager, operations and marketing manager will be managed by the owner himself. This is a temporary strategy awaiting business stability and recruitment of skilled and experienced new hires will be implemented when the financial position of the business becomes strong and business size is growing. With the experience of the owner as a supervisor and groomer will help to manage this business efficiently and effectively. It can also manage and guide employees so that they can provide excellent service to customers.
